We believe that:
GOD – Is a Spirit (John 4:24), God is Light (1 John 1:5), God is Love (1John 4:16). God is Omniscient (Isaiah 40:28), Omnipotent (Job 42:2), Omnipresent (Jeremiah 23:23,24); Psalm 139:7-12), Eternal (Habakkuk 1:12), Unchangeable (Malachi 3:6; James 1:17). God is Holy (Leviticus 11:44,45; Psalm 99:9; 1Peter 1:15,16), Right and Righteous (Psalm 116:5), Merciful (Ephesians 2:4). God is one (1Corinthian 8:4; 1Timothy 2:5; Galatians 3:20). God is in three persons: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16,17; 28:19; John 14:16,26; 1Corinthians 12:4-6).
JESUS CHRIST – Is the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary; rose again bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and will come again in glory (Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:28-38; 2:1-20; Matthew 27:32-61; 28:1-10; Acts 1:9-11; Ephesians 1:18-21).
HOLY SPIRIT – Is the third person in the Holy Trinity. He is the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Truth, the Comforter, whom Jesus promised His disciples and was sent on the Pentecost (Genesis 1:2; Romans 8:9,11; Acts 1:8; 2:1-4). He lives in every born-again child of God and leads them (Romans 8:14-16).
THE SCRIPTURE – The Bible is God breathed Word of God, the work of holy men who spoke and wrote from the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The Old and New Testament is our infallible guide in matters of our way of life and teaching (2 Timothy 3:16; 1Thes. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).
THE ANGELS – God created the angels, and they themselves are spiritual beings. They exist to worship the Lord and are sent to minister to the heirs of salvation (Psalm 148:2; Hebrews 1:14).
SATAN, FALLEN ANGELS & DEMONS – Lucifer was one of the angels created by God, but he rebelled and was thrown from heaven. Satan and the fallen angels with him and demons presently draw the world away from true knowledge of God (Luke 10:18-20; Revelation 20:2,3). By the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ He gained victory over Satan and all evil and by this gave believers in Him authority over the devil and demons (Colossians 2:15; Mark 16:17).
MAN, HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION – Human is a living being created in the image and likeness of God, but through the disobedience of Adam sin entered into the world. “All have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). “As it is written: ‘there is none righteous, no not one’” (Romans 3:10). Jesus the Son of God was revealed in order to destroy the works of the devil and to give His life and shed His blood for the redemption and reconciliation of mankind with God (Romans3:10,23; 5:14; 1 John 3:8).
SALVATION – Is a free gift from God for mankind; it’s given independent of works or the law; it is by grace
through faith in Jesus Christ bringing in the effect of good works which pleases God (Ephesians 2:8-10).
ETERNAL LIFE & NEW BIRTH – Man’s first step unto salvation is receiving Godly sorrow that directly leads to repentance. New birth is necessary for all, but only those who experienced it can have eternal life (Mark 1:15; 2 Corinthian 7:10; 1 Jan 5:12; Jan 3:3-5).
SANCTIFICATION – The Bible teaches that without sanctification/holiness no one can see the Lord. Sanctification is clearly defined, nevertheless it’s a progressive work of grace starting from the new birth and lasting till the
crowning/completion of our salvation at our meeting with the Lord Jesus (Hebrews 12:14; 1Thes. 5:23; 2 Peter 2:18; 2 Corinthian 3:18; Philippians 3:12-14; 1Corinthian 1:30).
WATER BAPTISM – Water baptism by immersion touches only believers and it is the direct commission of the Lord. This religious ceremony symbolizes identification of the Christian with Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12; Acts 8:36-39).
BAPTISM IN THE HOLY GHOST – Baptism in the Holy Ghost is the gift promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all born again believers in Him. The initial sign of Baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues as the Spirit enables one (Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17; John 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; 2:4,38-39; 19:1-7).
THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – Jesus told us that believers should bear fruit such that the Father would be glorified (John 15:8,16). The fruit in the life of a believer is manifested by way of the character of God that emanates from him (Galatians 5:22-25).
GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – Baptism in the Holy Spirit gives the believer entrance to spiritual gifts, which are the manifestation of God’s supernatural power upon and through our lives, all by His grace alone (1Corinthians 12:1-11).
GOD’S HEALING – Healing of human being’s body from physical sickness takes place by the power of God through prayer of faith with the laying on of hands or anointing with oil. Healing is assured by the redemptive offering of Jesus Christ and it is a privilege for every member of the church (Isaiah 53:4-5, Mark 16:18; 17:5-14; James 5:14-16; 1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:17;).
THE CHURCH – Jesus said that He will build His Church on the earth. It is one and has a local congregation (Matthew 16:16-19; 1Corinthian 11:16). The Church (also called the Body of Christ-Ephesians 5:23) of our Lord Jesus Christ is made up of individual members who are known by God as well as know Him personally (Galatians 4:9).
PRAYER – Every believer gets to know God deeper through the Word of God and prayer. The Lord Jesus through His life gave/showed us example of fellowship with the Father through prayers! (Mark 1:35). He taught His disciples how to pray (Matthew 6:5-18). Through out the ages the Church was and is still a praying church. (Acts 4:24-31; 6:4; 9:40; 12:5).
MINISTRY – The Church received an assignment from God, to go into all the world and make people disciples of the Lord Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20). The Lord called and equipped the Church to do this mission; and also gave Her different types of ministrations and as these gifts work in harmony, they bring growth in the Body of Christ and build it in love (Ephesians 4:11-16; 1Corinthian 12:12-31; Romans 12:1-10).
THE HOLY COMMUNION – God the Father made an eternal covenant called ‘the new covenant’ with the Lord Jesus Christ, through which the blood of guiltless Lamb of God was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. Jesus commanded us to remember about what God in His Son did for us by encouraging us to eat the Holy Communion (1 Corinthian 11:17-33).
THE RESURRECTION OF THE RIGHTEOUS & SECOND COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS – The angels
told Jesus’ disciples: “…this same Jesus who has been taken from you into heaven, will come as you saw Him go to heaven” (Acts 1:11). We’re nearing His second coming. When he comes, “those who died in Christ will rise first; later those of us who remain in life would be caught up in the clouds in the air for meeting with the Lord” (1 Thesalonians 4:16-18). After the great Tribulation that would come upon the world, Jesus would come back to the earth to rule as King of kings and Lord of lords, and together with His saints who would be kings and priests; Jesus shall reign 1000 years (Rev.20:6).
HELL AND ETERNAL PUNISHMENT – A person who dies physically in his or her sins without receiving Jesus Christ into his life is hopeless and eternally lost, not having any other opportunity to hear the gospel in order to repent. The lake of fire is eternal. The expression ‘eternal’ and, everlasting’ in relation to the length of punishment for the condemned in the lake of fire, has the same sense and meaning -an unending time of existence of course in pains; and it means on the other hand, an unending time of joy and happiness (bliss) for the saints dwelling in the Lord’s presence (Heb.9:27; Revelation 19:20).
NEW HEAVEN & NEW EARTH – After the 1000 ruler ship of Jesus, Satan would be throne into the lake of fire,
after which there would be the white throne judgment (Rev.20:3-15). Then there will be new heaven and new earth for the old things have passed away. Then also, the Holy city, the New Jerusalem will come down from God in heaven
(Rev.21:1-2). In this new heaven and new earth, there will be the throne of God and of the Lamb, and His servants will reign with Him for ever and ever, amen! (Rev. 22:1-5).
