“Blessed are the UNDEFILED in the way, who walk in the law/word of the LORD. Blessed are they that keep His testimonies, and that seek Him with the whole heart. They also DO NO INIQUITY: they WALK IN HIS WAYS. … Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to Thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. THY WORD HAVE I HID IN MINE HEART, that I might not sin against Thee.” Psalm 119:1-3,9-11
“As OBEDIENT CHILDREN, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as He which hath called you is holy, so BE YE HOLY IN ALL manner of conversation; Because it is written, BE YE HOLY; FOR I AM HOLY.” 1Pet.1:14-16.
A very important word and challenge both from the Psalmist and Apostle Peter on the blessing of living blameless life, undefiled, uncontaminated and holy life!
This is God’s will for us His chosen people to be set apart for Him, though in a sinful world but not to be contaminated by the world! Is it possible to live a blameless, undefiled and holy life on earth amid several pressures and temptations around? Yes, it is! The Lord doesn’t ask us to do what He has not equipped us to do, glory to God!
There are things to help us live blameless and holy lives:
First, acknowledge/be aware of the new nature of God in us by the Holy Spirit living in us-He who has called us is holy and our body is His holy temple-1Pet.1:15; 2Pet.1:4;1Cor.6:19-20.
Secondly, seek God with your whole heart, meaning consciously draw nearer to Him- reading and meditating on His word, having God’s word richly in our hearts- Psalm 119:11; John 17:17; Col.3:16
Thirdly -promptly do or obey every instruction from the word of God and also the prompting and leading of the Holy Spirit at any time. Rom.8:14; Gal.5:16;James 1:22.
May the Lord by the Holy Spirit help us to daily live and maintain blameless and holy lives in accordance with our new divine nature, consciously draw nearer to Him in His word, meditation and prayers, and always listen to and carry out every word of God and prompting of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name.
Have a blessed, victorious, fruitful and blameless/ undefiled/holy week and daily life in Christ Jesus
