“And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Mat. 28:18-20.
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written. The just shall live by faith.” Rom. 1:16-17
Very powerful word of the great commission by the Lord Jesus to His disciples since over two thousand years ago which is still very applicable to us today and even much more as we see His second coming very nearby! Thank God that He didn’t just send out His disciples and us on mission without first empowering them and us with the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8; 2:1-3), and assuring us of His (Jesus’) continual presence wherever and whenever we go to witness for Him (Mat. 28:20).
The assignment to fulfil the great commission is for every believer in the Lord Jesus and we are to carry it out wherever we are, from our Jerusalem – family and home environment, to our neighbourhood, school, work place, cities, countries and nations of the earth where we find ourselves! The Lord’s desire is that all men would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth – 1Tim. 2:4!
Would you make yourself available to the Lord to fulfil this great heartbeat of the Lord? – “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.” – John 4:34. Would you also like apostle Paul declare: “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe.” Rom. 1:16.
Desire and be filled always with the Holy Spirit and His fire and power, to be bold to be a witness for the Lord wherever you are.
Live a lifestyle of sharing the gospel starting from what Jesus did in your own personal life, saving you, assuring you of eternity with Him, healing you…knowing that the Lord is always with you wherever you speak about Him. And to confirm His word with signs and wonders following – Mark 16:15-20.
By this we depopulate hell (pulling people away from sin and death and hell) and populate the kingdom of God and heaven with saved souls and disciples of Christ Jesus.
May the Lord empower you with the freshness of His Spirit and fire to be a bold witness for Him, and draw many to Jesus and help them become His disciples, in Jesus’ name.
Have a blessed, victorious and fruitful day and daily life in Christ Jesus as bold witness for Him, in Jesus’ name, amen!
