Prayers and declarations for August 2023

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But LAY UP for yourselves TREASURES IN HEAVEN, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your TREASURE is, there will your heart be also.” (Mat. 6:19-21).

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. SET YOUR AFFECTIONS ON THINGS ABOVE, not on things on the earth.” (Col. 3:1-2).

“But we have this TREASURE in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” (2Cor. 4:7)

“Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will save them.” (Mark 11:24).

”The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” (James 5:16).

“You shall also declare a thing; and it will be established for you; so light shall shine on your ways.” (Job 22:28).

1. Almighty and glorious God my Father, I thank You so much for bringing me into this eighth month August, in this our special year of Dominion and Increase, in Jesus’ name.
2. O Eternal and Faithful God my Father, I thank and praise You for all Your great blessings, goodness and mercies, new converts/salvation, protections, healings, successes in exams, new jobs, promotions, weddings, children born, joy, victories and breakthroughs, etc, and other things You did for me and Your redeemed people in the previous months of the first half of this year and surely much more are coming in this August and months ahead in this second half of the year, in Jesus’ mighty name, amen!
3. O Lord My Father, I thank and praise You for the special and great treasure of the Holy Spirit living inside the earthen vessel of our body from when we became born again into Your family, and by whom we are sealed until the day of redemption (of our body); therefore, quicken and help me and Your redeemed people not to grieve the Spirit but daily submit to His leadership and direction in doing God’s will in accordance with every word of God, in Jesus’ name. John 1:11-13; 2Cor. 4:7; Eph.1:13-14; Eph. 4:30.
4. O Lord my God, I thank and praise You for the heavenly and glorious treasure of salvation and eternal life, and mansions You have gone to prepare for me and Your redeemed people; therefore grant that we may continue to hold unto faith in You and Your word till the end and also to keep spreading the gospel of hope and salvation in Christ Jesus so that many more people will come to Christ to share in this treasure, in Jesus’ name; John 14:1-3; Mat. 28:18-20.
5. O Lord Jesus, from my heart I thank and praise You for the special treasure and great honour and blessing of being Your bride and participating in the wedding supper of the Lamb; therefore, Lord quicken and help me and Your redeemed people to always get ourselves prepared/ready as Your holy and blameless brides by maintaining righteousness and purity, and being watchful, prayerful, wise and alert in the spirit, in order not to miss this awesome event, in Jesus’ name. Rev. 19:6-9; Mat. 25:1-13.
6. Almighty God my Father, I thank and praise You for the great treasure of the crown of righteousness and of glory that You have for me and Your redeemed people, hence, reigning and ruling with Christ forever; therefore quicken and help us to endure and hold unto faith in You till the end no matter the trials, persecutions and even martyrdom for Christ, in Jesus’ name. 2Tim. 2:12; 2Tim. 4:7-8; Rom. 8:17-18; Rev. 22:6.
7. O Lord Jesus my Saviour, just as You taught on Your popular teaching on the Kingdom life and in Your word, quicken and help me and Your redeemed people not to lay up treasures on earth or set our affections on things the earth, which can easily be destroyed or get lost, but to rather set our priorities right, and our affections on heavenly treasures and things that are of eternal values and rewards, in Jesus’ name. Mat. 6:19-21; Colossians 3:1-3.
8. O Lord, I thank and praise You that Your kingdom (Having Christ Jesus as Lord and King over our lives, living in Christ and He in us both here in this life and in heaven) is a great treasure; therefore quicken and help me and Your redeemed people to highly value our relationship with You our King and Your word more than anything, to maintain the kingdom characteristics of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, and to further spread the gospel and power of the Kingdom, in Jesus’ name. Mat. 13:44-46; Rom.14:17; Mark. 16:15-20.
9. O Eternal and Holy God my Father, quicken and help me and your redeemed people to be faithful in carrying out the duty You gave to the priests- to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord, and to do the same every evening and special occasions, and indeed at all times because You alone are worthy, and this pleases you, in Jesus; name. 1Chron. 23:30; 1Peter 2:9.
10. I declare with the Psalmist, the Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song, in Jesus’ name. Psalm 28:7. [Please joyfully sing at least two songs of praise and thanksgiving to this great and awesome God!]
11. In this August, our month of dominion and increase in heavenly treasures and every day of my life, I declare that I will arise and shine for my light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon me, and no matter the darkness in the world, I will shine brightly and make a difference and great impact for the Lord and His Kingdom’s expansion, all to God’s glory, in Jesus’ name. Isaiah 60:1-2.
12. I declare with the Psalmist, that I have set the Lord always before me, because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken; therefore, my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices, my body will also rest secure, in Jesus’ name. Psalm 16:8-9 [In your spiritual eyes and imagination, always see the Lord Jesus standing by you and to help and grant you victories]
13. O Lord God Almighty, just like our Father Abraham, help me and Your redeemed people not to waver through unbelief over Your promises, but be strengthened in our faith in You and Your infallible Word, and to be fully persuaded that what You promised, You have the power to do and would do it for us, in Jesus’ name. Rom. 4:20-21.
14. My Father God Almighty, my Father God Almighty, I declare that I will not be less than what You ordained me to be; therefore, every power of mediocrity/average in my life break now by fire, in Jesus’ name [Declare this with every aggression, and expect the Lord to lift you to where you ought to be and even beyond, in every area of life].
15. I decree and declare that any arrow of reduction, stagnation, setbacks and shame sent against me, O God of vengeance, arise shatter and destroy them, and in accordance to Your word, recompense tribulation to those who trouble me, in Jesus’ name. 2Thes. 1:6.
16. O Sovereign Lord God my Father, I thank and praise You for the great privilege and honour You gave me and Your redeemed people in foreknowing us (even before we were born) and predestining us to be conformed to the image of Your Son Jesus, and calling us apart from the world, justifying us (as if we never sinned) and also glorifying us (bestowing honour and lifting us high); therefore, help us to value this calling and to be like our Senior Brother and Lord Jesus, and represent Him well in everything (in thoughts, words and actions) in complete obedience to the Father no matter what it
    might cost us, in Jesus’ name. Rom. 8:29; Jeremiah 1:5; Philippians 2:5-11.
17. O Lord Jehovah Sabaoth (Lord of Hosts, over all armies physical or spiritual), I thank and praise You for great and all-round victories and unfailing love You gave to Your king David; therefore, through our faith in Christ Jesus, we queue into this promise and word of great victories You give us over all our enemies, in Jesus’ name. Psalm18:49-50; Luke 10:19. [Glory to God for great victories in Christ Jesus, amen]
18. O Omnipotent Lord God, based on the lesson from the life of King Jehoshaphat of Judah, quicken and help me and Your redeemed people to serve You faithfully and wholeheartedly in the fear of the Lord, doing only what is right in Your eyes always, in Jesus’ name. 2Chron. 19:9.
19. I declare and decree that Goliath has fallen; therefore, any stubborn enemy challenging my God in my life, health, family and relationships, academics or career, let the fire of God consume and annihilate any such Goliath, in Jesus’ mighty name. 1Sam. 17:45-51; Job 22:28. [Pray and declare this with every aggression! You are a threat and terror to the enemy and his cohorts, and not the opposite! 1John 4:4]
20. O Holy and righteous God my Father, help me and Your redeemed people to live each day knowing that one day we will all stand before the judgement seat of Christ to give account of everything done on the flesh whether good or evil, in Jesus’ name. Rom. 14:10,12.
21. O Lord quicken and help me and Your redeemed people to live in awareness of the fact that both our individual bodies as well as the Body of Christ/the Church/gathering of God’s people are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and we don’t belong to ourselves but are bought with Christ’s precious blood; therefore Lord deliver us from any form of defilement, and help us to maintain holiness and purity in our own body and in relationship with each other as the Body of Christ, in Jesus’ name. 1Cor. 3:16-17; 6:19-20.
22. O merciful and gracious God my Father, in this eight-month August, show me Your great mercies, and in accordance to Your word, do a new and glorious thing in my life which only You can do, make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, do awesome and amazing things that would be very evident to all and bring great glory and praise to Your name, in Jesus’ name. Isaiah 43:18-21.
23. O Lord by Your Spirit’s power, fire and boldness working in me and Your redeemed people in this our year of dominion and increase, quicken and use us to preach and demonstrate the Spirit and power of the gospel of the kingdom of God, that King Jesus and His Kingdom is here and coming in power, and to win souls into Your kingdom this month August and coming months, and teach them to become disciples and holy brides of Christ, in Jesus’ name. Mat. 6:10; 24:14; 28:18-20; 1Cor. 2:4-5.
24. O covenant-keeping and never-failing God my Father because the power of life and death is in the tongue, help me to always by faith speak Your word and positive things about my life and others, and NOT negatives or the enemy’s lies, in Jesus’ name [Open your mouth and begin to bless yourself with all kinds of blessings, desires and expectations in different areas of life in this year and particularly in this our month of dominion and increase in heavenly treasures, and in faith expect the Lord to honour your declarations according to His word-Ps. 23; Ps.81:10-‘open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.’ Says the Lord] Job. 22:28.
25. I decree and declare that thanks to God’s grace there shall be no accident, no untimely death, no sickness, no Corona virus or any deadly disease, no failure, no misfortune, no sorrow, no oppression-depression-suppression by demonic forces, no lacks upon me and my loved ones this August 2023 and all my life, in Jesus mighty name. Ps 91; Ps.23; Is. 43:1-7 (confess loudly and reject whatever bad habits, recurrent attacks of the enemy you do not want to see in your life).
26. VICTORY IN JESUS CHURCH: Thank You Lord Jesus for Your blessings, victories and increases/expansions upon our church in the past year(s). And we believe You that much more are coming this 2023, our year of Dominion and Increase, in Jesus’ name, hallelujah! O God arise and further bless, increase, and let Your fire of revival fall upon VIJC in Łódź, in Wrocław, in Bydgoszcz, Grudziądż, Zgierz, Warsaw, Poznań, Opole, and thwart/destroy every plan of the enemy against this church and let her fulfil her God-ordained purpose in Poland and across the world, in Jesus’ mighty name. And Lord, we thank You for Your great blessings upon our Victory in Jesus Church Fire conference with Evangelist Ella Onakoya on 29-30th July and a blessed and fruitful evangelistic outreach with her here in Łódź on 31st July 2023 in Jesus’ name.
27. UKRAINE, BELARUS AND RUSSIA: O Lord, we thank You that You will bring this war and hostilities from Russia against Ukraine to an end; even so Lord in Your mercy, intervene and help the Ukrainian army to resist and expel the Russian army out of Ukrainian territories, and grant that Belarus would not join Russia against Ukraine, in Jesus’ name. O Lord in Your great mercy and goodness, continue to comfort and provide for Ukrainians, and also, grant them the grace not to hate Russians but be willing to forgive them as the war ends, in Jesus’ name; and in Your mercy draw the Ukrainians, Belarusians and Russian to Christ the Saviour, in Jesus’ name. Psalm 65:8-9; Isa 8:9-10; John 6:44.
28. PRAYING FOR POLAND: O Lord grant that Your church, the Body of Christ in Poland would maintain the attitude of thanksgiving and praises to God at all times even in difficult and trying moments; help us to trust God in all situations and believe that God is able and hence, maintain peace that comes from the Lord Jesus, in Jesus’ name (Psalm 34:1-2; John 14:27); Lord help us to do away with lusts of the flesh, lusts of the eyes and pride of life, take care of our minds and thoughts that they may be in agreement with God’s holy word, in Jesus’ name; (1John 2:16-17; Philippian 4:8); and
    Lord may Your church be strong, bold and uncompromising end-time army of mature, holy, united, wise, loving (agape-selfless love) and Spirit-filled sons and daughters of Yours, always putting on the whole armour of God, and through whom You will do exploits depopulating hell and populating
    God’s kingdom with saved souls and holy brides of Christ, in Jesus’ name. Mat. 5:13-16; John 8:12; Eph. 6: 10-20. O Lord grant us revival and hunger for God upon Polish people; Lord let Your wisdom, righteousness and true fear of God guide the government and those in authority in Poland-the
    President, Prime Minister, Ministers, Parliamentarians, Governors and Mayors of cities and all in positions of influence including the opposition parties; expose and remove every lie, deception and hatred, and grant that they may do what is in accordance with truth and righteousness, and for the good of the whole nation, in Jesus’ name. Lord take control of the campaigning and forth coming parliamentary elections in Poland by 15th October, that Your order and peace would reign, and that right and honest persons upholding Christian values will be elected into the next Polish Parliament, in Jesus’ name. Prov. 14:34; 21:1; 1Tim. 2:1-4
29. ZIMBABWE: Father Lord God we pray for the government and people of Zimbabwe especially in the coming presidential elections later this month August, that Your righteousness, truth and order may prevail, with peaceful and safe elections. And may the person according to God’s will be elected to lead the country, in Jesus’ name. And using this country as a point of contact for all other countries represented in our church community and in Poland, we pray, O LORD that the light of the gospel may shine forth, expel every darkness, and let Your peace, righteousness and progress reign in all these nations, and thwart the plans of the enemy against Your good purposes for these countries; O Lord, destroy corruption and bribery, remove evil leaders/rulers and give us truly God-fearing leaders in different spheres of governance and leadership in Zimbabwe and in all these other countries who would have the interest of the entire nation in their hearts, in Jesus’ name. Prov 14:34; Is. 8:9-10; Is. 62:1-8.
30. ISRAEL: Lord, we pray that Your peace and blessings be upon Israel and Jerusalem. Lord, we pray against anarchy and violence over the issues of judicial reforms in Israel, We pray for Your order and understanding between the government of Israel and the entire nation over the issues. Protect the borders of Israel; we come against antisemitism and enmity towards Israel and the Jews, in Jesus’ name. Help the Church/Body of Christ in the world and Poland to understand the role of Israel and to really intercede for Israel; O Lord open the eyes of the Jews to see and embrace the Lord Jesus their true Messiah, in Jesus’ name. Psalm 122; Rom. 10:1; 11:11-33.
31. O Omniscient God, by Your Spirit’s leading and wisdom, grant that every day of this month August, our month of Dominion and increase in heavenly treasures, and all through the year 2023, I will not miss any appointment, but I will be in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing, meeting with the right person(s) and saying the right thing(s), and bringing great glory to Your name, in Jesus’ name.
32. O Holy God my Father, in every day of this month August and in my daily life, please keep me always alive and alert in the spirit of holiness and righteousness as Christ’s Holy Bride unto His coming, in Jesus’ name. Heb. 12:14; Rev. 19:6-9.
33. My Father and my King, I thank You for answering all these declarations, decrees, and prayers, and for doing exceedingly, abundantly above all I have prayed/declared/decreed above, by Your power working in me; all glory and praise be to You in and through my life in this August and all through the year 2023 and always, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen and amen! Eph.3:20-21.
