“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Eccl.12:13-14.
“But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at naught thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.” Rom.14:12
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” 2Cor.5:10.
Very powerful, inspiring and at the same time warning concerning how we live our lives and what we do and our motives in whatever we do! The all-seeing eyes of the Lord Almighty see what we do as well as what we think in our hearts! And one day, we shall give account of everything we did or said or thought of whether good or bad!
This is a very important check for us all believers in the Lord Jesus and to help us FEAR GOD AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, hence, staying away from all evil, and doing good always before God and man, no matter what others are doing-indeed not being weary or tired in doing good, for God will surely reward every good thing done while in the body (Gal.6:9-10); guard our tongues against speaking lies or falsehood; seek and pursue peace as much as it lies on you, be at peace with all men-Rom.12:18; Psalm 34:11-14. May the Prince of peace, the Lord Jesus rule in our hearts and His character always be in us! All these touches keeping God’s commandments- every word of God in the Bible!
In conclusion, may Philippians 4:8 be our way of life – thinking and doing whatever things that are honest, just/right, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous (good value) and praiseworthy (that will bring praise and glory to God), amen!
Have a blessed, fruitful and victorious day and daily life in Christ Jesus.
